A Little Dead
“After their grandma passes away, siblings Hailey and Kevin visit their grandpa. They discover that the caretaker has vanished, and Grandpa now shares a drink each night with his deceased wife and another unseen entity. The two siblings quarrel about Grandpa's mental health, but can either of them unravel the meaning of his new ritual before having to face its effects?”
This was my first project working with Ben Richardson. Writing the score for this film all came down to subtlety, as it coexists with the inhabiter of an old farm house. I spent many days shutting myself in a room with the drapes shut, soaking in the details of this story and writing for hours - and it was a blast. I greatly appreciated Ben’s keen eye for detail, and I’m very grateful to have been brought on for this film

Working on this film was one of best experiences of my life. The group of people that pulled this off were so dedicated, so passionate, and so intentional about everything. The score I wrote features elements of choir, synth, and full scale orchestra as it follows the subject, Cristian, through a series of life changing events.

It was a true pleasure to work alongside some of Nashville’s best film talent. This film started as a camera test that ended up becoming something even greater. Its fast paced, heart pumping, action and adrenaline all the way through.

“A young accomplished pianist finds himself at a loss when he sits down to play, but has no inspiration. Unbeknownst to him, a noteworthy neighbor offers some musical light into his life that takes him on an unexpected, but thrilling journey.”
This was my first time working on an animated film, and what an incredible journey it was! I found myself feeling very connected to the main character throughout the writing process, and went through my own writer’s block and sense of revelation. I am still blown away at the talent of Hunter Hoffman and Reid Robertson and the incredible feat this three person team was able to achieve. The full score can be heard below.

A friendship that began from L.A. Next Generation Indie Film Awards, Mark D. Bonner and I had an incredible time working together on this film. With influence from 1920s jazz, the music was unlike anything I’ve had the opportunity to work on in the past and an incredible journey. This film is currently in its festival run, and you can keep up with it here.
