“The Hero Within” is a full length soundtrack inspired album.

It is my love letter to film score and an audio depiction of my own personal journey.

Find your inner Hero

“The Hero Within” is a concept I first began working on in the year 2018. The inspiration was to write an album’s worth of music where each song told a unique story detailing the path of one becoming a Hero. The album first began to take form at the very end of 2019, when I wrote the piece “The Trees Beneath”. In the early months of 2020, the ideas began to pour like rain, and song by song, the album came together in a few months.

Though I’m no hero, in this album I find my own identity in the written themes. The music is uniquely personal, yet outwardly relatable. I believe the story told through these pieces of music can become anyone’s theme. This album is not about one character’s rise to greatness - but anyone’s. It could even be yours. My hope is that the listener, any listener, can find themselves within the music. Discovering the fate ahead of you, deciding to take your first courageous steps, facing hardship, and conquering your fears are all things that we must endure in our personal journey. This album has a piece to represent many of those moments.

I hope that as you listen to this music, you find the relation to it as well. Let it encourage you, inspire you, or simply be your solace.
